Lo smanettone noto per aver “liberato” l’iPhone e la Playstation 3 e di conseguenza portato in tribunale da Sony fa parte degli sviluppatori del social network di Mark Zuckerberg.

Geohot, al secolo George Hotz, non ha più tempo per rischiose sfide a titolo gratuito ai colossi dell’informatica. TechUnwrapped ha fatto notare come Hotz abbia rifiutato l’invito di un membro del team Chronic-Dev di lavorare ad un exploit per la bootrom dell’iPad 2 e che preferisce dedicarsi al suo lavoro presso Facebook.

L’informazione sarebbe confermata da quanto scritto da Hotz stesso sulla sua pagina www.facebook.com/geohot (al momento non disponibile) verso la metà di giugno anche se pare che l’assunzione risalga a maggio. In quanto al suo ruolo al momento non ci sono altri indizi concreti ma non è da escludere che Geohot stia collaborando alla fantomatica app di Facebook per iPad.
